The IMDEA Energy Institute is a “María de Maeztu” Center of Excellence with the mission of developing world-class R&D in the field of clean and renewable energy technologies. The Institute aims at contributing to the establishment of a sustainable energy system with a high degree of decarbonisation, economically competitive and securing energy supply (www.energy.imdea.org).
The IMDEA Energy Strategic Research Programme within the “María de Maeztu” award is focused on the sustainability of the transport sector, including the following topics:
- New concepts for electromobility.
- Solar fuels - photothermal processes.
- Fuels from residues and wastes.
IMDEA Energy is opening a competitive call for 12 Postdoctoral Researcher Positions, in the context of the “María de Maeztu” Excellence Programme.
The candidates will have the opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary and international institute.

A 1+1-year contract is offered with a gross annual salary between 35,000 – 38,000 €.
