José González, elected member of the ISES Board of Directors

José González Aguilar, Senior researcher and Head of the High Temperature Processes Unit, was elected by the membership of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) as member of the ISES Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 term.

New members of the ISES Board are Chiel Boonstra, The Netherlands; Michael Eckhart, USA; José Gonzalez-Aguilar, Spain; Andreas Hauer, Germany; Christine Lins, Austria; Paulette Middleton, USA; Monica Oliphant, Australia; Werner Platzer, Germany; Rabindra Kumar Satpathy, India; Maria Wall, Sweden; Wang Zhifeng, China; Agnieszka Rządkowska, Poland; and Andreas Häberle, Switzerland

ISES is the longest standing solar organization in the world, with its roots dating back to 1954. In 1963 ISES became accredited with the United Nations and has been working with UN entities and programs since, taking part in important events like the UNFCCC Climate Change Conferences and the UN Commission on Sustainable Development meetings.
